Why does Paigo process my data without my prior approval?

Every company can call in the support of a lawyer or collection company with regard to outstanding claims. And if a company hands over an - even disputed - outstanding claim to Paigo, this company may and must also forward personal data to Paigo. After all, these data are necessary to enable us to contact the customer and to find a solution for the outstanding payment together. Prior approval of forwarding of data to a legal service provider is not necessary. This is also provided for in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), which refers to it as "data processing for the performance of a contract or for the purposes of the legitimate interests of the creditor" in article 6 section 1.
